If you celebrate Christmas and wish to avoid cooking Calgary has wonderfully festive holiday meals scheduled for in-person dining on December 25th, all of which are accepting reservations. These include hotels and restaurants but act fast, as these events fill up quickly.
If you are simply looking for places open for Sunday and if the meal doesn’t need to be festive at all, you can still find several restaurants and takeout spots in Calgary that are open for Christmas!

I. Festive Christmas Day Dining in Calgary
Borough Bar + Grill
Fill up on a delicious dinner from the Borough Bar + Grill for Christmas day by reserving a table in the restaurant or take your order to go with their curbside pickup. They offer a wide assortment of entrée options like pizza, chicken, lamb, steak, and pasta, as well as a savoury selection of gourmet starters. They have a few Christmas Day specials on top of all those other options, too: a turkey dinner, or a rib roast dinner.

Delta Calgary South
The Christmas day dinner from the Calgary Delta South will feature a large menu. To start, you can pick your choice of small bite, then your choice of larger appetizer. The main courses star options like beef wellington, duck breast, or mushroom and thyme tarte. The filling Christmas options can be a great way to treat any group for the holiday.

The Carriage House Inn
Whether or not you feel like staying in to celebrate the holidays, or going out for a meal, you can rest assured The Carriage House Inn can help make for a stress-free holiday meal with their Christmas Day Buffet. Buffets are perfect for larger groups but work for any size of dinner party. The Carriage House’s holiday offerings will include starters, main selections, and several dessert options.

Yellow Door Bistro
Yellow Door Bistro’s Christmas day meals include a Brunch Buffet, or a Dinner Buffet in their open and bright dining room. Each menu will include a huge selection of festive foods, holiday treats, and desserts. The stars of the brunch include bacon and eggs, glazed ham, and carved beef striploin; the mains for dinner include turkey confit, prime rib, and seafood.

Fairmont Palliser
Calgary’s Fairmont Palliser, and their Hawthorne Dining Room, offer a few ways to dine this holiday season, including Christmas Day. You have the choice between Hawthorne’s Yuletide Lunch, or Yuletide Dinner, both available December 1-26. Or you can enjoy the Palliser’s Christmas Day Brunch. All three dining experiences are open for reservations.

Thomson’s Kitchen & Bar at the Hyatt
You can take advantage of Thomson’s Christmas Day buffet for lunch or dinner this year, with seating times available at 12pm, 3pm, and 6pm. The buffet meal offers a unique variety of stations, platters, and entrees with additions like a pho noodle station, carved meats, charcuterie, seafood, dim sum, and much more.

Southland Yard
Join Southland Yard on Christmas Day for a delicious and memorable 4-course holiday meal. You can liven up your meal with a selection of wine pairings for an extra cost, too. II. Calgary Restaurants Open on Christmas Day
Glenmore Inn
The Christmas day dinner at Glenmore Inn is sold out, but the Sunday Brunch at the Garden Court will be open on December 25th from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. The buffet costs $27.95 for adults
$23.95 for seniors (65+) and youth (ages 11 to 17) and $10.95 for children (ages 4 to 10). Call 403-720-5288 before you head out and reserve early.

Gyu-Kaku
Gyu-Kaku will serve their dinner menu only for Christmas 2022. This includes small plates and appetizers, noodle meals, fresh sushi, meat entrées, and rice dishes. Their large menu is a perfect way to create a family-style dinner where everyone shares the sides and mains.

YAKIMA Social Kitchen + Bar
The YAKIMA menus draw inspiration from a variety of cultures but are created through fresh local ingredients. The dishes will bring out flavours from Aboriginal, Asian, and North American cuisine. This gives guest options like tuna poke, kale and brussels sprouts Caesar salad, pizza, bison ribeye, and many more.

Indian Accent Kitchen & Bar
Indian Accent can make an excellent choice for anyone in search of a vegetarian meal on Christmas Day. Indian Accent’s vegetarian menu includes large and filling selections which are offered alongside just as many meat/fish plates. Their menu continues with Indo-Chinese dishes, fresh breads, desserts, and more.

Canadian Brewhouse Mahogany
While most of Calgary’s Brewhouse locations are closed for Christmas, the Mahogany location will remain open! You can book a table to secure your table for the 25th or schedule a curbside pickup. Their feature menu currently offers an assortment of Italian-inspired foods like lasagna bites, Mamma’s Meatballs, and deep fried mozza sticks.

Zaika Bistro
Zaika Bistro’s Indo-Chinese menu is perfect for individual meals, couples, or large families (with several big dishes to share). They’ll be open for dinner hours on Christmas Day for both take-out and in-person reservations. You’ll be able to stop by Masala Bhavan for dine-in or take-out orders on Christmas Day from 4pm-9:30pm. They offer a menu of South Indian dishes and dinner options like meat platters, vegetarian dishes, soup, rice plates, and sides like naan bread or chutney.

Red Lobster
Calgary’s Red Lobster will be open for limited hours on Christmas Day; and while12pm-7pm are limited compared to their regular hours, this still gives you time for lunch or dinner. The seafood restaurant has a Build-your-own-Feast Special on at the moment, a fun selection of signature cocktails, and their classic seafood favourites.

Delhi Express
Order up an authentic taste of India this December with Northeast Calgary’s Delhi Express. They are open every day from 11am-11pm, and offer a variety of selections for either sharing, for creating a large dinner out of, or for snacking.
