The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, the Calgary Stampede, has unveiled its sweet, spicy and salty list of new midway food.

From creative to daring, this year’s creations include over 40 news items.
Some of the highlights of the annual summer festival extravaganza’s midway food menu include:
- Pig-kle Sandwiches – deep-fried pork belly and slaw, in-between a giant pickle,
- Bad Breath Lemonade – a fusion of garlic and caramelized onion with refreshing ice-cold lemonade,
- Unagi Sushi Taco – tempura nori taco shell with BBQ unagi eel, sushi rice, crab meat mixture, and julienned cucumber, drizzled with signature BBQ eel sauce, cotton candy noodles,
- Meal Worm Hot Dog – all-Beef Meal Worm Hot Dog, made using meal worm protein, whole roasted meal worms,
- and Cricket Hot Dog – all-Beef Cricket Hot Dog, made using cricket protein, whole roasted crickets and beef.
Those looking for satiate their sweet tongue can try Waffle Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwiches, Honey Habanero Ice Pops, Lemon Meringue Lychee Lemonade, Cookie Dough-Nut Cookie Dough, Glazed Donut Grilled Cheese, Kraft Dinner Soft Serve, and Deep Fried Oreo Mini Donuts.
Traditional favourites like corn dogs, cotton candy, funnel cakes and mini doughnuts will be available throughout the Midway.

Currently, the Stampede Superpass which is good for 10 days of admission is available for $49+GST.
