Beaumont for the Blues & Roots Festival
Several acts are set to take the stage in Beaumont for the annual Blues & Roots Festival. The two-day outdoor music festival also offers onsite camping for added convenience. Additionally, Beaumont has hotels in town, and near the airport. Some acts scheduled for June include Fefe Dobson, The Rural Alberta Advantage, and Finger Eleven. While in Beaumont, check out several local dining options, or the local Sea Change Brewery.

LieLow in Milo
The LieLow Music Festival in Milo is an outdoor celebration of local art and music and will feature a variety of genres and styles. The lineup is out, and there are a few different ways to make the most of your time. You can camp at the festival, or Lake McGregor Provincial Park. At the show, you’ll have options for dancing out in the sun, or relaxing under the shade of the trees. Milo is a small town southeast of Calgary and east of High River. For a more unique camping experience during the festival, try the nearby Aspen Crossing who offer train caboose cabins.

Find the Beaches
This June has been a warm one in Alberta. Luckily, many provincial campgrounds have beach access! Below are some Provincial Parks and Recreation areas with availability June 16-18, and a beach! These Provincial beaches have all the amenities you need for a fun day: washrooms, showers, picnic tables and shelters, and hand launches or piers. And if the weather isn’t warm enough for swimming, you can hike, stargaze, bike, or picnic at the beach.
- Gull Lake in central Alberta has a wide and expansive beach with camping available through Aspen Beach Provincial Park.
- Long Lake Provincial Park, northeast of Edmonton, offer camping, a beach, swimming, boat rentals, hiking, and wildlife viewing.
- Whitney Lakes Provincial Park in central-eastern Alberta have two beaches, and four lakes.

Private Camping in Drumheller
The Provincial Parks and Recreation Areas near Drumheller are fast to book up in the summer. The museum, the Red Deer River, and the hoodoos, are all a few of the reasons people flock to the badlands each summer. So if you need a campground for your stay, consider the great private campgrounds around town.
- The Dinosaur RV Park in Drumheller once offered camping only. But new to the park are a set of small and cozy cabins.
- The Hoodoo RV Resort & Campground is just outside of town and near the banks of the Red Deer River. They cater primarily to RVs, but do have limited tent sites.
- The River Grove Campground & Cabins are open to cabin visitors, RVers, and tent campers.
