It is always exciting to hear about the latest restaurant openings in Calgary.

New Restaurants to Try in Calgary in October

Credit: Da Vinci’s Steakhouse & Lounge

First, many of these openings occur in bulk – 5 to 10 new cafes, bakeries, pubs, bars, or restaurants in any given month. Usually, Calgary receives a decent variety from the new eateries. There are options for new ways to dine, new foods to try, and other cultures to explore.

The new restaurants which opened in September in Calgary give you all the above; we saw the opening of places with everything from casual to gourmet options. These new Calgary restaurants are right on time for the holidays!

Da Vinci’s Steakhouse & Lounge

Calgary always needs another steakhouse. And there is always room in the city for more premium places to enjoy steak and much more. Give a big welcome to downtown Calgary’s newest addition: Da Vinci’s. The steakhouse offers a fine dining experience with luxurious cuts of meat (think, Wagyu), homemade pasta, and savoury appetizers.

Delmonico

Visit Calgary’s new Delmonico restaurant and try their menu for any meal of the day. The western-fusion restaurant offers an array of North American classics for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And each of the dishes has Delmonico’s own signature twist. A few of their savoury side options include mac and cheese, smoked salmon and fennel salad, or crispy Brussel sprouts. And each main course is a filling dish of comfort foods like steak, lamb, or pasta.

Oneway Seoul Pocha

Authentic Korean street food is not so hard to find in Calgary, thousands of kilometres from the streets of Korea. Thanks to the team at Oneway Seoul Pocha, Calgarians can enjoy authentic dishes with a modern twist, and a focus on using fresh ingredients.

The other main focus of Oneway Seoul Pocha is to bring a Korean street stall dining experience to Calgary. The interior of the restaurant draws inspiration from all aspects of Korean street food.

Alchemist Bistro

The café recently launched the Alchemist Bistro as a new dining concept for their existing space. The bistro menu is filled with delightful plates of colourful, fresh, and savoury ingredients. While new, the Alchemist Bistro has already gained popularity, and reservations are required.

Stay Café

Stay Café opened in Calgary right on time for the start of the fall season. This is perfect timing as Stay Café has a deliciously warming menu of café drinks. The Korean café also offers fresh-baked treats, breakfast sandwiches, sweet and cold drinks, and take-out items like tea and other drinks.
