Embark on a foodie adventure this spring and stop by all of Toronto’s newest restaurants. Among the bunch is a wide variety of cuisine, as well as types of dining.

Toronto recently saw the opening of new local fast-food joints with burgers stacked high, picnic-ready food, and desserts to-go. On the more upscale side of Toronto’s dining scene, late winter and early spring brought about cocktail bars, new internationally-inspired eateries, and new patio dining.

The warmer weather is a great excuse for a stroll around your neighbourhood to find these new Toronto restaurants, and probably more.

Kadak

The Kadak Toronto grand opening was celebrated recently on March 8th. The new restaurant provides an authentic Indian dining experience inside a colourfully decorated dining room. The bright yet warm atmosphere complements the menu of rich flavours. However, if you do need the convenience of takeout, Kadak is available on the ordering apps for enjoying their new foods at home!

Aera

Take in one of the newest views of the city skyline from one of Toronto’s “newish” restaurants that opened a few months back. Aera sits 38 floors above Toronto and provides a view that can be enjoyed over lunch, weekend brunch, or dinner (and sunset). The “elevated” dining experience will be memorable thanks to the atmosphere and view, and the menu of fresh, gourmet cuisine.

Dhaka Kitchen

It has been about a month since Dhaka Kitchen opened in West Scarborough with their menu of Bangladeshi cuisine. The smaller dining spot offers in-person and takeout food, and a big menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. And while small, the atmosphere remains warm, inviting, and perfect for warming up on a rainy spring day in Toronto.

Resurrection Restaurant + Japanese Whisky Bar

Resurrection opened this past winter in Toronto to the delight of dim sum and whiskey lovers alike. The dim sum menu is available all day, and changes between brunch, lunch, and dinner. Each menu also includes a selection of main dishes or appetizers and sides. The whiskey menu is an all-Japanese menu from brands Suntory, Nikka, or Yushan. Resurrection also has a fun selection of craft cocktails, wines, and desserts.

Zesty Burger

Zesty Burger, or “home of the spicy, juicy revolution,” is new takeout spot in Bloorcourt Village. And while the name may suggest their popularity is growing from burgers, it is more specifically, from their fried chicken- available as burgers of course! Other items include lamb, vegetable, and beef burgers, and chicken burgers available in many different ways.
