Annual Vaisakhi Parade – Nagar Kirtan

Celebration of Sikh Festival Vaisakhi. Hosted by the Sikh Community every year to celebrate sense of community and equality

This is an excellent opportunity for people to learn more about the Sikh community.
Nagar Kirtan is a colorful procession where some of the participants will sing Shabads (Holy hymns) and perform Gatka (traditional martial arts). We will also set up Langar (Holy Kitchen) inside and outside the Gurudwara, which will offer free vegetarian meals to all attendees without distinction of religion, caste, gender, economic status or ethnicity.

Following the parade, there will be a festive event at Prairie Winds Park .
This event is organized annually by the Sikh Community and is a free family friendly event.

Parking bans will be in effect on the day of the Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan Parade from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parade route areas to keep everyone safe and make the event go smoothly.

The following temporary parking restriction will also be in effect:

54 Avenue between Castleridge Boulevard and Westwinds Drive N.E.
