The month of June is an exciting time to be in Devon.
With summer around the corner, this town located in Leduc County, welcomes sunny days with a festival – Devon Days – filled with activities for the whole family.
Devon Days kicks off on Thursday, June 9th with a Hot Dog BBQ at the Community Centre sponsored by the town of Devon. Visitors can enjoy free hot dogs and tropical floats from 5 pm to 7 pm. If are craving more, then the second helping is by donation to the Families in Need Crisis Fund.
West Coast Amusements will be bringing thrilling rides from June 10th to 12th and all day cost $30 on Sunday and $40 on Friday and Saturday.
You can taste the best of Devon’s culinary talents at Devon Got Taste on Friday. Tickets cost $1 and meals range from $7 to $9.
Devon skies will be sparkling on Friday night as Fireworks presented by Aerial Fireworks will light up the skies at 11:00 pm.
The parade is on Saturday along Athabaska Avenue and begins at John Maland High School and ends at the Legion.
Devon Days runs until June 12th and other activities include Beer Gardens, Pancake Breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday, Adult Dance on Saturday, Family Fun Fair featuring petting zoo, mini-golf and more!
