A&W Canada has announced that three vegetarian burger options, previously offered as limited-time items, are now part of its permanent menu, excluding locations in Quebec.

CNW Group/A&W Food Services of Canada Inc.
Per the news release, the decision follows strong nationwide demand, with the Masala Veggie Burger and the Spicy Piri-Piri Potato Buddy Burger achieving record sales when introduced in 2024.
The Masala Veggie Burger, a favourite from the earlier launch, returns permanently. It includes a crispy patty made with paneer and vegetables, supplied by Nanak Foods, along with piri-piri sauce, lettuce, tomato, and red onion on a seeded bun. Nanak Foods, based in Surrey, British Columbia, is Canada’s largest producer of traditional South Asian dairy foods and remains a key supplier for A&W’s vegetarian offerings.
Accompanying it is the Crispy Veggie Burger, which features the same patty but swaps the piri-piri sauce for mayonnaise, catering to those who prefer a milder taste.
The third item, the Spicy Piri-Piri Potato Buddy Burger, includes a hash brown patty with spicy sauce and the same vegetable toppings, served on a toasted bun.
For a limited period, both the Masala and Crispy Veggie Burgers are priced at $6.
