It is a meat-centric festival that sources food from B.C. and Alberta farms committed to responsible and ethical farming practices.
The festival isn’t just about delicious food. It’s also about educating guests on the importance of being a conscientious consumer. By providing guests with a tangible experience of how these foods taste, information about the farms they come from, and where to purchase these products, Brewery & The Beast aims to keep local and regional food systems thriving while supporting the local restaurant and food & beverage industry.
At Brewery & The Beast, chefs are given creative freedom to prepare mouthwatering dishes using a variety of meats such as beef, bison, pork, lamb, goat, chicken, elk, rabbit, duck, and wild boar cooked over open fires using traditional and innovative techniques.
The event offers guests an opportunity to pair these dishes with local craft beer, cocktails, wine, hard seltzers, cider, non-alcoholic beverages, and live music, providing a delightful sensory experience.
The 2023 event promises to be bigger and better, featuring a starting line-up of 17 restaurants, breweries, and beverage providers, including Deane House, JinBar, Major Tom, Teatro Group, Pat & Betty, River Café, Bar Chouette, The Guild, Lulu Bar, The Nash, NOtaBLE ~ The Restaurant, Pitt County BBQ, Fonda Fora, Roy’s Korean Kitchen, The Notorious P.I.G, Yellow Door Bistro, Northern Chicken, Blindman Brewing, Banded Peak Brewing, Ardbeg Whiskey, High Noon Hard Seltzer, and Wines of California, with 30 more to be announced. Brewery & The Beast is the perfect event for food lovers who want to experience exceptional culinary creations in a unique outdoor setting.
The event will take place on August 27th, 2023, at Fort Calgary, from 12 pm to 4 pm, and tickets for the main event cost $135 + GST, including all food, all non-alcoholic beverages and eight drink tickets for alcoholic beverages.
VIP experience tickets are also available for $235 + GST, which includes ten drink tickets for alcoholic beverages, a one-hour exclusive culinary and beverage experience hosted by multiple guest chefs and bartenders before the main event, early access to the main event venue, access to a shaded lounge area with seating and premium conditioned washroom facilities, a private bar and tasting opportunities led by industry professionals, and the freedom to come and go from the exclusive VIP space as you please.

What: Brewery & The Beast is an outdoor culinary event that brings together an extraordinary line-up of chefs, restaurants, beverage makers and artists to deliver a feast of meat-centric dishes, craft beverages and live entertainment for an ultimately unforgettable experience.
The Food: 50+ chefs cook incredible dishes with locally sourced proteins and ingredients. Visit as many of the chefs as you like while savouring their amazing cuisine.
The Drinks: Craft Beer, Cider, Hard Seltzers, Hard Teas, Cocktails and Wine. No long lines for sample size drinks here! All drinks are regular size, readily available and the tickets for drinks are already included in the price.
