Two of Mexico’s most iconic bands, Caifanes and Café Tacvba, have announced their first-ever joint tour on the international stage.
This 20-city tour, produced by Live Nation, is set to begin on May 29, 2024, and will conclude on June 30, with a performance in Canada at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on June 28.
This collaboration between Caifanes and Café Tacvba, both hailing from Mexico City and established in the late 80s, represents a fusion of diverse musical styles and a celebration of Mexican rock’s enduring influence.
Caifanes, known for their passionate and intense musical journey since 1986, have evolved significantly while maintaining a deep connection with their fans. Their music resonates across generations, earning a place in the hearts of both young and older audiences. The band’s commitment to social causes and their unrivaled stage presence have solidified their status as pioneers in the music industry.
Café Tacvba, active since 1989 with its original lineup, has been a major force in the Latin music scene. The Grammy-winning indie rockers from Mexico City have been credited with leading the “Rock en Español” movement of the early 90s. Their broad appeal lies not just in their groundbreaking music but also in its fun and dynamic nature, which has inspired countless musicians.
Tickets for the Caifanes + Café Tacvba 2024 Tour will be available starting December 12, with a Citi cardmembers presale. General sales begin on December 15 at 10 am local time.
