The Best Countries report evaluates the perceptions of 73 nations across a range of categories, from economic influence and military might to education and quality of life, to determine which countries wield the most influence on a global scale.
2020 Best Countries Report produced after a annual global survey of more than 20,000 people in 36 countries by U.S. News & World Report, BAV Group and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania says Canada is the 2nd best country second only to Switzerland.
According to the report, Canada is also perceived as the most trustworthy country.
The report also includes The Origin Index which uncovers the power of a brand’s nation of origin in its ability to influence the purchase preferences of consumers, identifying how marketers can tap into a country’s strengths. In this, US tops across many categories. The United States also ranks No. 7 overall, and is seen as the most powerful country.
Canada also tops in many ranking criteria including being the top country for quality of life.
