This elite team, a symbol of Canadian pride, is composed of skilled members of the Canadian Armed Forces and the National Defence Public Service.
These ambassadors of the Canadian Armed Forces will tour cities and towns across Canada, showcasing their breathtaking aerobatics and stunts. Pilots and technicians, alongside support staff, ensure each performance is a testament to their pursuit of excellence.
The Snowbirds operate the Canadair CT-114 Tutor, a jet with a rich history in Canadian aviation, used for pilot training until 2000. Weighing around 7,170 lbs and powered by a J-85 engine, this aircraft is capable of reaching a top speed of 412 knots, adding a thrilling dimension to its shows.
Their demanding schedule starts in April each year with intensive practice sessions in Comox, British Columbia, before they embark on their tour from May to mid-October.
2026 will mark the final air show season for the CT-114 Tutor aircraft prior to the fleet’s retirement.
