All aboard for a unique and delicious Mother’s Day experience!

Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario

The Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario (RMEO) is offering traditional British Afternoon Tea in its beautifully restored dining car. This museum is not your typical dusty and boring place; it’s a working railway museum located on 10.5 acres in the heart of Smiths Falls.

The dining car is a piece of history itself, having been constructed in 1899 by the Wagner Palace Car Company in Buffalo, New York. It served as a Canadian National Railways dining car on the Intercolonial Railway, running from Halifax to Riviere du Loup. Now, it’s a perfect spot for a trip back in time and a fine dining experience.

For the Afternoon Tea, the RMEO will be serving a selection of fine teas followed by a tiered stand featuring English scones with fresh cream and preserve, unique finger sandwiches, and delicate pastries.
