The annual Celebration of Lights at Festival Place will bring joyous activities for the whole family from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on November 19th.
Activities include wagon rides, reindeer visits, writing letters to Santa, campfire cooking, holiday crafts and more.
You can also take free pictures with Santa!
The tree-lighting countdown will begin at 5 p.m.
After the illumination, the LED tree will be lit up daily through the holiday season from 6 a.m. – 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.
If you are planning to attend the event, remember that Festival Way will be closed at Brentwood Blvd N from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Parking is available at the Community Centre parkade and Centre in the Park parkade.
The event is free to attend, but take donations to the Strathcona Food Bank.
The following weekends, go on a country driving tour and take part in Strathcona County’s rural Christmas celebrations — November 24th & 25th (Christmas in the Heartland) and December 3rd (Christmas in the Country). Halls and churches will be filled with artisans and crafters, and entertainment. You can enjoy ice carvings, nativity displays, sleigh rides, holiday music and more.
