Welcome in winter with a trip to the country. Christmas in the Heartland is a driving tour of unique rural venues steeped in tradition.

Local halls and churches will be filled with artisans and crafters, ice carvings, nativity displays, sleigh rides, holiday music and more. Local venues will be featuring different aspects of a traditional Christmas.

• Good Hope Committee @ Josephburg Community Hall, #57 54569 RR 215, Josephburg: Enjoy German culture with over 130 Nutcrackers to look at.Artisan vendors selling homemade items. Ice carving.
• Bethany Lutheran Church, 20577, Township Road 550: Nativity displays of all sizes. Featured this year are wooden nativities. Sleigh rides, music,
  and food onsite to purchase tasty treats. Ice Carving onsite.

   

• Moyer Rec Centre, 54569 Range Road 215 in Josephburg: Country Market featuring homemade, crafts and baking. Letters to Santa Writing Station, Holiday Photo Spot, live music. Cinnamon buns made onsite / concession. Ice carving.

   

• Brookville Community Hall, Highway 16 at 53203 Range Road 212: Indulge in our delicious Ukrainian lunch while you enjoy the live music of our talented musicians. Delicious breads, baking, fudge and Whoville trees for sale. Bring the little ones to have fun creating at our craft table or inside the beloved Bookmobile!

   

• Partridge Hill Community Hall, 22002 Township Road 542 : Unique hand-crafted gifts and art displays. Ice carving onsite. Antique display. Concession with winter-warming choices.

5:30 p.m. – Fireworks display in Josephburg

Free Parking

Bus tours will depart from and return to the Bethel Transit Terminal located at 650 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park. Stops: Bethany Church, Brookville Hall, Partridge Hill Hall, Josephburg Hall, Moyer Recreation Centre. The bus tour does not include the evening fireworks display.

Departure time: 9:45 a.m.
