Finding the antique shops around Alberta can be as fun as hunting for vintage furniture, clothing, and more, and can take you to towns you might otherwise not visit. This doesn’t mean we can ignore the major cities, however, as Lethbridge, Calgary, Edmonton, and Red Deer, are all home to hubs for antique trading, collecting, and sales.
Antique shopping may have you thinking of furniture and small décor items, but these stores often carry almost anything and everything like clothing, farmhouse décor, garden décor, second-hand books, vintage jewelry, and great pieces of art. You never know what you will and can find at these Alberta antique stores, so plan for plenty of time to browse. Antique Shopping in Northern Alberta
Cold Lake
A large portion of Cold Lake is a bit south of the lake itself, which is where you can find the city’s shopping centre. Within the area are a few antique shops worth a browse, some of which also carry newer gifts and goods. All three of Cold Lake’s antique shops are within walking distance of one another
- Get Rid of it Store & Services (4711 50 St, Cold Lake) collect many products from their service department, and put them all on sale in the store, giving you an eclectic variety of goods to sift through.
- Find old and new goodies at Sugar Wings Paint and Sparkles (5205 51 Ave), including antique furniture pieces.
- The Rustic Trunk (5408 55 St, Cold Lake) also offers a combination of old and new products, including gorgeously refurbished furniture.
Yellowhead County
Explore Yellowhead County’s antique shopping with a road trip around west-central Alberta. Keep your eyes open on Highway 16 west of Edmonton for shopping opportunities in Edson and Seba Beach, as well as a bit further north in Whitecourt.
- The Yellowhead Trading Post (6118 A Hwy 16, Seba Beach) carries all sorts of unique finds like furniture, belt buckles, and stuff you would not expect to find!
- The Antique Place (5020 2 Ave, Edson) is a place where you can spend hours browsing the games, toys, old home décor, and other cool vintage finds.

Antique Shopping Around Edmonton
Edmonton
Edmonton is a great place for spending your afternoon hunting for the best and most unique pieces. And besides the official antique collectors, Edmonton is also home to a number of thrift shops, too.
Vintage and Antique Stores in Edmonton
- South of Whyte Avenue, you can browse the huge collection at Old Strathcona Antique Mall (10323 78 Ave NW) via over 300 booths.
- Classic European Antiques (13314 126 Ave NW, Edmonton) is a smaller store in north Edmonton, but still offers a wall-to-wall stock of antiques and collectibles.
- My Grandma’s Attic Ltd (12754 Fort Rd NW), also in north Edmonton, has an array of vintage toys and games, housewares, home décor, and furniture.
St. Albert & Sturgeon County
The area north of Edmonton, Sturgeon County and St. Albert are where you can begin your antique road trip. From there, head east to find even more goodies and collectibles in Redwater.
- Anything & Everything Vintage (76 Grosvenor Blvd, St. Albert) offers a great selection of vintage and antique items, and new locally made products.
- Den of Antiquity (57017 RR 211, Redwater) is between Bruderheim and Redwater and is a quaint little shop of curiosities and antiques.
- Noreen & Friend’s Attic (49 St, Redwater) recently received a large new collection of antique items, including housewares, picture frames, home décor, and a lot more.
Spruce Grove & Stony Plain
These two Parkland County towns are a short drive from one another, and you can visit each to add to your antique collection, find something small and out of the ordinary, or get a blast from the past through games and toys.
- One Man’s Treasure (4912 50th Ave, Stony Plain) gives you a great selection of trinkets, house items, furniture, and more, so you can find your treasures.
- Guilty Pleasure Collectibles (306 Saskatchewan Ave #3285, Spruce Grove) is a fun place to spend the afternoon while seeing toys from childhood or getting the chance to purchase some of your old but favourite games.
- The is a variety of old and new products available from Raggs to Riches (123 Mcleod Avenue, Spruce Grove) including several beautiful pieces of furniture.
Leduc County
Take your road trip south of Edmonton to the wide and expansive Leduc County, where you will find numerous treasures to take home. These shops are not in the town of Leduc and will take you out to some gorgeous prairie countryside.
- Unique treasures await at Switchback Mercantile (5011 50 Ave, Millet), which is also located in a historic Millet location.
- Backstreet Antiques (Highway 13 & Range Rd 10, Westerose) have a selection of new products, as well as a trove of vintage goodies.
- You never know what someone will donate or drop off with The Thrifty Laker (464044 Range Road 20) in Pigeon Lake! This new shop offers a great selection of second-hand clothing.
Antique Shopping in Central Alberta
East-Central Alberta
Head east to find your next set of collectibles, antique furniture, or vintage clothing and decorations. You can make stops in Irma to find something unique, something old, or something discontinued.
- Buy your little piece of Alberta history from Like it Never Was (50 Street, Village of Irma) where you’ll find pieces as old as some of the local farms.
Red Deer County
Central Alberta is home to a plethora of antique and vintage shops so you could tour places like Leduc and Parkland Counties, or eastern Alberta, and still have time to visit the shops further south in Red Deer County (depending on what length of road trip you’re planning). You can find some in the city of Red Deer, and others further out in the rural areas.
- Holmehus Antiques (Range Road 282, Red Deer County) offer beautiful displays of antique China and home décor, all within larger antique furniture, and it is all for sale!
- Red Deer Antiques & Collectibles (5511 50 Ave, Red Deer) has a beautiful wall-to-wall assortment of antique furniture, art, home décor, and all sorts of small trinkets.
Antique Shopping Around Calgary
Cochrane
Cochrane is a great road trip destination for anyone around Calgary not looking to go too far, or for anyone heading towards the Rocky Mountains. You can browse two antique shops in town before heading further west or make Cochrane your final stop.
- The Little Antique China Shop (118 1st Ave W, Cochrane) focuses on dinner China specifically, with a huge assortment from a variety of eras.
- Cochrane Home Treasures (208 Fifth Ave #2) give you a wide assortment of, well, treasures to put in your home!
Calgary
Downtown Calgary, and the neighbourhoods south of downtown, make it easy to navigate antique shopping in the city. But besides these convenient shopping locations, Calgary is home to a number of other thrift stores, second-hand markets, and other antique stores.
- Ella Grace Marketplace (7271 12 St. SE, Calgary) features curated mid-century, vintage and antique treasures and upcycled and repurposed creations and has over 60 confirmed, established vendors sharing a 12,000 sq ft. showroom.
- Bonnybrook Junction (4108 17th STREET SE) is much more than a vintage/antique market. While there are three antique sellers within the collective, this building also houses hair stylists, studio space for artists to rent, and event space for rent.
- Jayson’s Corner (3714 17 Ave SE) expands its offerings almost every day and can offer hours’ worth of browsing.
- BEX Vintage (1611 14 St SW) can cover all of your furniture-finding needs with its awesome collection of mid-century-modern and antique furniture.

Airdrie
Exploring Calgary or Cochrane’s antique shops can easily and conveniently bring you north to Airdrie via Stoney Trail. The small city has a great antique mall which could take an entire day to hunt through if you wanted!
- Where On Earth… Antique Mall and Vintage Market (325 Edmonton Trail SE) is over 15000 square feet of old, unique, and vintage items- big or small.
Drumheller
Dinosaurs instantly come to mind with a road trip to Drumheller, but the southeastern town also has many other reasons to visit besides the Royal Tyrell Museum, including outdoor recreation, photography, and shopping! Check out Drumheller for an antiquing road trip through the scenic badlands.
- Buffalo Spirit Trading (273 2 Ave, East Coulee) carries a unique selection of antiques and decorations in a cozy and quaint residential setting. The store is also a short walk away from the East Coulee School Museum.
- Neat Stuff Antiques (701 AB-576, Drumheller) can be one of your first stops after entering Drumheller and are located after the ‘Welcome to Drumheller’ sign.
Antique Shopping in Southern Alberta
Nanton
There are many reasons which make Nanton a great road trip destination including the town events, the local culture and history, and the outdoor recreation. But some of Nanton’s most well-hidden gems is the antique industry. Lost Ark Antiques (1915 20th Avenue) are antiques themselves, being located in Nanton’s oldest building!
Okotoks
You can find yourself a one-stop shop for antiques and vintage items in Okotoks through the large collection of All Through the House and still have a quainter shopping experience, too, with Cozy Cottage Interiors.
- All Through the House (100 Stockton Ave., Okotoks) is a collective of different vendors who offer an assortment of vintage and antique goods like clothing, furniture, seasonal décor, collectibles, farm antiques, art, and much more.
- Cozy Cottage Interiors (43 McRae St. Okotoks), located inside an actual cozy cottage in Okotoks, have wonderful displays of farmhouse décor, antique furniture, and seasonal items.
High River
You can likely tackle High River in combination with an antique road trip to Okotoks, Calgary, or Lethbridge. And when you do, or if you visit just High River, stop by the town’s two antique shops, each with different types of collections.
- J & D’s Attic (1004-18 Street SE, High River) have you covered for antique shopping, as well as used books, linens, garden items, and vintage clothing.
- What items won’t you find at Gary’s Great Buys (520 Centre Street SE, High River)? The High River store has a wide collection of a variety of types of antiques.
Lethbridge
One of Alberta’s southernmost cities, Lethbridge, is a haven for antique shoppers, bargain hunters, and thrifters alike. There are three stores within the city and between them all, you will be able to find almost any type of antique or vintage product. This is on top of Lethbridge’s local thrift shops, too!
- You could decorate your entire house with the stock at Grandma’s Antiques (328 13 St N)!
- The old in 252 Old & New (252 13 St N) comes from the store’s great selection of antique and vintage items, and the new comes from all the locally sourced products on their shelves.
Fort Macleod & Pincher Creek
These two southwest towns offer three antique shops between them, each of which offers a fun selection of unique treasures. It is only 30-minutes between the towns along a scenic stretch of the Crowsnest Highway. S
- Samuel Roland Antiques and Collectables (209 25 St., 13. Fort Macleod), located in one of Fort Macleod’s historic buildings, is a smaller shop but offers a huge selection which often spills out of the store as sidewalk pop-up sales. You can also spot this building in a few famous films like the recent Ghostbusters movie.
- The Collective and The Java Shop (210 24 St., 13. Fort Macleod) are antique stores which carry some great furniture selections, as well as many other smaller pieces.
- Head further west to Pincher Creek and browse the wares of What Goes Around Comes Around (Kettles Street, Pincher Creek).
Medicine Hat
If you’re heading east on your travels, Medicine Hat can be a warmer option for October to December in its southeastern location. You can shop the city’s two antique shops for an array of collectibles and great finds and explore the natural and historic sites after!
- The Railyard and Patina Inc. (613 16 St. SW, Medicine Hat) could be one of the coolest stores in Alberta with which you can decorate your whole house.
- You can find an eclectic mix of wares and goods at The Shabby Vintage Belle (1201 Kingsway Ave SE #104, Medicine Hat). They also carry a variety of local art and handmade goods!
