The recall applies to four products sold online, including in Ontario, with potential distribution in other provinces and territories.
Affected items include:
- Premium Hot Cocoa Mix (907 g, UPC 7 47599 62012 6, lot S449250A04, best before June 30, 2027)
- Perfectly Premium Frappé Mix – Vanilla (1.36 kg, UPC 7 47599 62105 5, lot S594262, best before July 31, 2027)
- Premium Frappé Mix – Mocha (1.42 kg, UPC 7 47599 66211 9, lot S295262, best before June 30, 2027)
- Premium Frappé Mix – Frozen Hot Cocoa (1.42 kg, UPC 7 47599 66213 3, lot S393260, best before July 31, 2027).
Food carrying Salmonella may not show obvious signs of spoilage, making it difficult to detect without testing.
Symptoms of infection can include fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. While many people recover without treatment, certain groups, including young children, older adults, pregnant individuals, and those with weakened immune systems, face a higher risk of serious illness. In some cases, longer-term complications such as severe arthritis may develop.
Consumers are advised to check whether they have any of the recalled products at home. The guidance is straightforward: do not consume, use, sell, serve, or distribute them. Instead, the products should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase.
Anyone who believes they became ill after consuming one of the recalled items is encouraged to contact a healthcare provider.
