Toronto
Enjoy a morning of free movies and gaming across Canada on Saturday, November 14, as Cineplex brings back its annual Community Day.
Now in its 14th year, the event will feature free family-friendly movies at participating Cineplex theatres, complimentary gaming at XSCAPE, The Rec Room and Playdium locations, and select snacks and drinks for $3 each.
This year’s Community Day once again supports BGC Canada, an organization that provides programs and services for children and youth at more than 665 locations nationwide.
From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. local time, participating Cineplex theatres will screen four Warner Bros. Discovery films for free. Tickets are available only at the theatre on the day of the event, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Visitors can also purchase regular popcorn, regular drinks and select candy for $3 each, plus tax, until 11 a.m.
Participating XSCAPE locations will offer 30 minutes of free non-redemption gaming through complimentary playcards or tokens.
The Rec Room and Playdium will offer free one-hour non-redemption game bands between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Both venues will also have select food and beverage items available for $3 each, plus tax, until noon.
Throughout November 14, Cineplex will donate $1 from every concession, food and beverage purchase, XSCAPE playcard purchase or reload, and game band purchase or reload at The Rec Room and Playdium to BGC Canada.
Cineplex has donated more than $863,000 to BGC Canada through previous Community Day events.
