Cirque du Soleil’s first Christmas-themed show, ‘Twas the Night Before…, will make its Canadian debut in Toronto this holiday season.

The production, presented in collaboration with TO Live, is designed for families and features a cast of 26 international performers showcasing Cirque du Soleil’s signature acrobatics.
The production will run from December 12, 2024, to January 3, 2025, at Meridian Hall.
The show is based on the classic poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” by Clement Clarke Moore, reimagined through the story of a young girl who rediscovers the spirit of Christmas. Directed by James Hadley, a senior artistic director with over 25 years of experience in circus and live theatre, ‘Twas the Night Before… offers a blend of high-flying stunts, charming characters, and a fresh take on holiday music.
This production is Cirque du Soleil’s first foray into the holiday genre, bringing their renowned artistic flair to the festive season. The show aims to capture the joy of giving and the magic of the holidays, appealing to audiences of all ages.
