Sainte-Marie has been hosting this dynamic, education-focused celebration of Indigenous cultures for decades. Come and learn directly from First Nations and Métis experts and allies! Open to school groups and the general public.

Timed Experiences – plan your day around these immersive cultural moments:
– Gathering ceremonies that set the tone for the day
– The powerful sounds of the Eagle Flight Singers drum group
– Haudenosaunee water drumming inside the Longhouse
– A lively canoe and waterways demonstration connecting past and present
– A traditional firestarting demonstration showcasing essential survival knowledge
– Performances by the Segmekwé Métis Drum Group

All-Day, Hands-On Activities – Explore at your own pace with interactive experiences for all ages:
– Test your skills at the Lacrosse Speed Net
– Sample Three Sisters Soup in the cookhouse
– Learn practical techniques in “Survival in the Bush” outdoor sessions
– Discover Métis games and cultural displays, presented by Discovery Harbour
– Get creative with a hands-on craft led by Parks Canada & Beausoleil Island National Historic Site
– Try the a traditional Indigenous ring and pin game
– Visit the Truth and Reconciliation display in the indoor museum
– Watch the Sainte-Marie historical video in the theatres
– Browse and connect with makers at the Indigenous & Métis Artisans Market
