Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples’ Day at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons with Legends of Lacrosse—an exciting, hands-on experience that brings the Creator’s Game to life through culture, history, and play.
Meet the Legends
– Brad Kri, professional player with the championship-winning Toronto Rock
– Jim Calder, lacrosse historian and former world champion
Interactive Highlights
– Test your shot at the Lacrosse Speed Net Challenge
– Learn about and try traditional Indigenous games
– Join a Ways of the Wendat tour exploring First Nations perspectives and worldview
– Skills Sessions with the Pros (Pre-registration required)
– Led by professional players, including Brad Kri
– $6 + tax (in addition to event admission)
– Limited to 60 participants per session – early registration is encouraged
– Two sessions only:
– 11 a.m. to noon: Ages 11 and under (U7–U11)
– 2 to 3 p.m.: Ages 12+ (U13–U22)
Hands-On Cultural Experiences
– Make your own corn husk doll
– Create a miniature clay pot
– Enjoy Three Sisters soup in the cookhouse
– Roast bannock over an open fire
Make it a getaway: Deepen your connection with history by booking a stay in a cozy glamping cabin on the Wye River, steps from this National Historic Site. Tickets to Legends of Lacrosse are included in your reservation fee!

Tickets : $12-$18
Admission is $12, tax included, per person (plus an added $6 plus tax for skills training participants)
FREE ADMISSION TO: Children five and under, Indigenous persons, Season pass holders, Ontario educators, Members of the Canadian Armed Forces (does not apply to skills sessions, for which payment is mandatory)
