Events Description
Join Robert Scott at Heritage Park for VIP access to capture the parks unique and picturesque buildings during the best light and away from the crowds. This is your opportunity to create unique images in an autumn setting close to Halloween!
Robert will start the event with an hour lecture showcasing his heritage photography. The lesson will include creative composition & night photography techniques.
Participants will then be set loose on the town at approximately 3:00pm. This will be your time to wander the streets without the crowds, practice your new skills and ask questions.
Shortly after sunset, Robert will be demonstrating the basics of ‘light painting’ techniques using one of the buildings in the park. Participants are not required to attend the demo and may practice night photography using the street lights. Some really neat effects can happen.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: There is enough room in the Wainwright Hotel presentation room for social distancing. Masks are MANDATORY as per request from participants, the host and Heritage Park . If you are uncomfortable attending the presentation then you could always just attend the outdoor exploration.
SNACKS: Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Cookies will be available in the presentation room at the Wainwright Hotel. This will also serve as a home-base if you need to warm up. It’s recommended you bring your own bottled water as you explore the streets.
DRESS: Please dress for the weather. Good boots, gloves and toque!
MAXIMUM PARTICIPANTS: 15
EQUIPMENT: DSLR Camera is recommended but all types are welcome. For night photography, a shutter release cable and Tripod are highly recommended.
REQUIRED SKILL: All Levels.

ACCESS: Please note that as the park will be without its normal staff levels that normally safeguard antiques, access to the inside of heritage buildings will not be possible. This workshop will focus on building exteriors.
