Events Description

On July 1, Airdrie will be celebrating Canada Day with events taking place throughout the city in various locations.

Celebrate Canada Day with 20,000 of your friends and neighbours. Floats, music, dancing and red and white as far as the eye can see – what better way to celebrate Canada Day?

Come early and stay after the parade to explore downtown for a day packed with special promotions and unique offerings from our amazing local businesses and organizations.

Pick up your passport at City Hall or The Airdrie Public Library, visit at least three downtown business locations throughout July and collect a sticker or stamp at each stop to enter the contest. The more locations you visit, the more entries you receive, with a bonus entry for completing all stops.

Airdrie CultureFest is the city’s multicultural community festival showcasing and celebrating Airdronians from all walks of life. Enjoy live music and performances, beer gardens, delicious food, cultural activities, and experience Airdrie’s vibrantly diverse communities. Visit continents across the world throughout the park, including Europe, Africa, Asia, North America and South America.

As part of a tradition, Canada Day will end with a fireworks display lighting up the sky. A 20-minute brilliant and dazzling artistic light performance to be enjoyed by all. Grab blankets, lawn chairs and snacks to watch the show.
