Banff is turning its Downtown Pedestrian Zone into an entertainment and activity space for Canada Day.
There will be a full-day of entertainment dispersed through the pedestrian zone and around downtown.
Canada Day Programming & Activities
Canada Day Market, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Located on pedestrian-friendly Bear Street, between Wolf St and Caribou St. Note that the Bear St parking lot will be closed to vehicles.
- Enjoy the Banff Farmers Market which features local artisans, produce and tasty treats!
Family Fun Zone, 12 – 5 p.m.
- Features the family entertainment stage, roving performers, lawn games and activities for kids, First Nations tipis and cultural conversations. Beau Valley Circus will host circus workshops for all ages.
Central Park Stage, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Canada Day entertainment begins at 11 a.m. with Steve Harmer’s Motivational Magic and Beau Valley Circus. The afternoon features Parks Canada’s Wildlife Rules, Blackfoot storytelling and dance, Banff Belly Dancers, and Bow Valley trio The Three Sisters. Steve Harmer returns at 3:30 p.m., followed by Banff’s Ramblin’ Hey Ho Ha’s and The Steadies’ island-rock concert at 5 p.m.
Canada Day Parade, on Banff Avenue, between Fox Street and Buffalo Street,10 – 11 a.m.
- A must-see Canada Day tradition! Marching bands, horse-mounted participants, bicycle parade, human-powered floats, performers, and community spirit.
Chill Zone: 12 – 4 p.m., Bear Street, 200 Block
Relax at Bear Street Chill Zone with mountain views and local ice cream treats. From 12 to 2 p.m., enjoy Jesse Peters’ live performance, featuring audience song requests, standout piano skills, polished vocals, and an easy connection with the crowd.
