Now entering its 34th year, the Calgary Dragon Boat Society is proud to continue its tradition of celebrating community, sport, and culture through this iconic summer event. From thrilling dragon boat races to multicultural performances, delicious food trucks, the Dragon Marketplace and our Trico Homes Kid’s Play Zone — there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our Family-Friendly Beer Gardens offers a relaxed space to enjoy a cold beverage while taking in the festival vibe.
And the best part? Admission is completely free!
Our Kid’s Play Zone is the perfect place for families with little ones to relax, play, and enjoy interactive activities designed for children of all ages. It’s safe, fun, and full of excitement — just one more reason the Dragon Boat Festival is one of Calgary’s top family-friendly events!

Enjoy quick and easy access to the festival with our FREE shuttle buses, running every 8 minutes between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. The shuttle picks up directly from MRU and drops you off at the heart of the action.
