Events Description
The Calgary Pride Festival and Parade take place each Labour Day long weekend, with thousands gathering in celebration of gender and sexual diversity.
The full week of programming will begin on August 25, concluding with the annual Parade & Festival Weekend on Sunday, September 2 & 3, 2023. During this week, hundreds of exciting events will be held that celebrate and uplight the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
Join us September 2nd and 3rd for 2 days of free events and performances to celebrate our annual Calgary Pride Parade and Festival, proudly presented by TD Canada Trust. Join us and experience the vibrant energy of our local 2SLGBTQIA+ community as we return to Prince’s Island Park, where you’ll find sensational performances by our iconic headliners Synthia Kiss, Kendall Gender, and Bratpack, alongside other amazing local talent and DJs. Relax in our beer or sober gardens, and explore our food trucks, a curated marketplace, and so much more.
We’re beginning with our 18+ Pride Cabaret Soiree on Saturday, September 2nd, 2-6PM, and continuing on Sunday, September the 3rd with our renowned Pride Parade at 11AM, then heading back to Prince’s Island Park to spend Sunday celebrating our all-ages festival day, 12PM – 10PM, jammed packed with all-ages performances, activations, a marketplace, food trucks, and all the goods! To end the festival, we’ll be screening “Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” at our main stage starting around 9PM, and drag is encouraged! Don’t miss out on this years celebration of love and diversity!
