Commemorate Canada Day at The Confluence with family-friendly fun and vibrant cultural experiences! On Wednesday, July 1 from 10 am to 5 pm, stop by for range of engaging programming provided by The Confluence, as well as events supported by The City of Calgary including a Sport Calgary activation and the Indigenous Spotlight & Powwow.
This Canada Day, you can look forward to:
– free admission to The Confluence Cultural Centre exhibits
– indoor crafts & games stations
– free offerings of our Notable Figures of Calgary Walking Tour
– cultural interpreters at the Hunt House & Métis Cabin
– a concession stocked with snacks and refreshments
– video shorts celebrating culture and heritage in the Burnswest Theatre
– cultural performances including Métis jigging and hoop dancing
– teaching tipis where you can learn and hear stories from Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers
– shopping an Indigenous artisan market
– trying out inflatable soccer, luge, biathlon and ski jumping at the Sport Calgary hub
