Events Description

Carifest Calgary is an annual cultural festival which highlights the rich cultural diversity in the West Indies. Carifest celebrates the fusion of the Caribbean’s varied cultural components into a vibrant, dynamic, ambiance which draws millions of visitors to the Caribbean region each year.

The day begins with a Carnival Parade, featuring the colourful costumes, energy, and vibrant sounds of the Caribbean. The parade starts at Olympic Plaza and heads down 8th Ave SW to the Festival grounds at Shaw Millennium Park. It all comes together at the Sunshine Festival, with live performances by Alison Hinds and Patrice Roberts! Attendees can bask in the colourful costumes, performances, rhythms, Caribbean cuisine and vendors marketing Caribbean and international Arts and Crafts, as well as various services.
