There is nearly zero ambient light pollution in our part of the Drumheller Valley, meaning our Christmas lights twinkle against an incredible star-filled sky. A truly unique rural Albertan experience!
This year we’re stringing 40,000+ lights across the Atlas’ 12 acre site. The Badlands’ dark skies and brilliant stars make our light show one of the best in Alberta.

Start at the Atlas Coal Mine to enjoy seasonal treats, kids activities, Santa Claus, train rides, and music while you admire thousands of lights strung throughout site.
Then warm up at the East Coulee School Museum across the river! The School will dazzle you by candlelight. Enjoy kids crafts, live music and festive treats.

kids 2 and under are free.
Admission includes all activities. Free parking at both locations.
