Dia de los Muertos at the Saskatoon Farm

Dia de los Muertos translates to Day of the Dead and its an important day in Mexican culture. Dia de los Muertos is a celebration of ancestors who have passed away – the festivities that take place are joyful and help people remember the deceased and celebrate their memory. Many of our team members hail from Mexico, so it’s very exciting for us to be hosting a Dia de los Muertos celebration here at the Saskatoon Farm. Our greenhouse will be glowing with Mexican decor, lights, towering tropical plants, good friends, and great music.

– Live Music: Starts at 7:00 pm. Our DJ will be mixing sounds with traditional and new age Mexican muscia! Make sure to wear your dancing shoes for an evening of celebration!

– Food & Drinks: Fresh grilled tacos & traditional Mexican salsas will be served from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. We’ll also be serving Cervezas (Corona, Modelo), Margaritas, Horchata, and Hot Chocolate.

– Local Vendors: with hand-made goodies!

Face Painting: We will have two face painters offering complementary Catrina Style face painting. First-come-first-serve – from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

– Attire: We encourage you to dress up for this event in your best costumes! This doesn’t necessarily have to be a Dio de las Muertos costume though! Dress to impress! The best dressed individual will receive a $150 gift card to the farm, and the best-dressed duo will receive two $100 gift cards (one for each).
