Events Description
Warm up your January with the Calgary Phil and conductor Fawzi Haimor in this wide-ranging program featuring Ginastera’s spirited Argentine dances and Gershwin’s musical portrait of a wistful American wandering the streets of Paris. The Calgary Youth Orchestra joins the Phil in a side-by-side performance of Valerie Coleman’s bold musical call for unity in a divided world, and Canadian cellist Luka Coetzee is the blazing protagonist in the sweeping drama of Prokofiev’s Sinfonia concertante. This performance is presented in partnership with One Yellow Rabbit as part of the High Performance Rodeo.
