The Calgary Bach Choir presents an afternoon of choral and organ music exploring the influence of the Italian Baroque on composers such as J.S. Bach and Handel.
The program features works by Lotti, Pitoni, Palestrina, Vivaldi, Strozzi, Marcello, and Schubert.
Guest artists include sopranos Hannah Pagenkopf and Lauren Woods in Italian duets by Handel, and organist Gary Tong performing Bach’s transcription of a concerto by Vivaldi.
