Mount Royal Kantorei Presents There Was a Time

Time shapes us. It holds our memories, marks our losses, and reminds us of the moments that define who we are.

Join Mount Royal Kantorei for There Was a Time…, a powerful and deeply moving concert exploring the human experience through music. From the haunting beauty of John Tavener’s Song for Athene and Gregorio Allegri’s Miserere mei, Deus to the emotional storytelling of Elaine Hagenberg, Jake Runestad, and contemporary favourites, this program journeys through themes of love, loss, resilience, remembrance, and hope.

Blending centuries of choral tradition with bold contemporary sounds, There Was a Time… invites audiences to reflect on the past, embrace the present, and celebrate the extraordinary connections that make us human.
