Celebrate National Indigenous History Month at Calgary Public Library
Enjoy free, family-friendly programming celebrating Indigenous history and culture throughout June. Programs include specialty workshops, Métis jigging, Elders storytelling, the KAIROS blanket exercise, and more. Family Storytime at all locations will feature Indigenous authors and stories. Special events include:
• An evening with Ojibway Anishinaabe comedian Shery Mckay on June 1
• Opening Ceremonies at Central Library on June 2
• A keynote from Olympian Alwyn Morris and a panel discussion about Truth and Reconciliation in Sport, in partnership with the Canada Sports Hall of Fame at Central Library, on June 21,
