Lace up your skates and get outside for winter fun! The city of Calgary has seven outdoor skating rink locations that are free to use on a first-come-first-served basis.

Skate on the new ice trails at Bowness Park or North Glenmore Park. Try the new ice bikes at Bowness Park.

Who is it for?

All ages – Family

Hockey sticks, toboggans, sleds & strollers are not permitted on the ice
Helmets are strongly encouraged.

  • Olympic Plaza — 228 8 Ave. S.E. || 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. – Rentals available
  • Prairie Winds Park — 223 Castleridge Blvd. N.E. || 5 a.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Thomson Family Park — 1236 16 Ave. S.W. || 5 a.m – 11 p.m.
  • Prince’s Island Park, 4 St. and 1 Ave. S.W. || Closed for the season
