Edmonton is home to the first ever Alberta Circus Arts Festival, hosted by Firefly Theatre and Circus. Join circus artists from all over Alberta and across our country for three days of performances, workshops, industry panels, parties and more!
Join us for aerialists and acrobats will take over Edmonton’s French Quarter, with jaw-dropping performances, gravity-defying acrobatics, and family-friendly fun! Come out and learn to juggle or walk on stilts (free!), mingle on the patio with artists from around the world, and see intimate contemporary circus performances that you won’t find anywhere else. It’s like having Cirque du Soleil in your living room!
The Alberta Circus Arts Festival is produced by Annie Dugan, Artistic Director of Firefly Theatre and Circus. Alberta’s award-winning aerial performance company has been creating original works that combine circus and theatre since 2001. The Festival headquarters and main performance venue is La Cité Francophone, the perfect location to experience circus arts in a powerful and intimate way.
