Events Description

The Alberta Railway Museum opens on the May Long Weekend!

The Alberta Railway Museum offers a hands-on, self-guided journey through Canada’s rail history. Set up like a small terminal, it features over 75 vintage cars and locomotives from CNR, NAR, and short lines. Visitors can ride vintage trains and speeders, explore maintenance equipment, and view historic archives. Located outdoors, the museum is Alberta’s largest and Canada’s third largest railway museum.

Our locomotives and trains run only on long weekends and at the top of every hour from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Speeder rides are offered on regular weekend.
