Monday, July 1 from noon to 9 p.m. Don’t miss the province’s biggest Canada Day party, at the Alberta Legislature! Visitors will enjoy free family-friendly entertainment and activities, including ceremonial events, live performances and more.

The Legislative Assembly Visitor Centre on the main floor of the Edmonton Federal Building will be open to the public on Canada Day. Visitors can enjoy the film Our People Our Province in the Pehonan Theatre, learn all about active citizenship and the democratic process in the Agora Interpretive Centre and visit Borealis Gallery to see Where are the Children? Healing the Legacy of the Residential Schools, a powerful travelling exhibition by the Legacy of Hope Foundation that explores the history and consequences of the Residential School System in Canada with the goal of contributing to the healing and understanding required for reconciliation.

The Canada Day event will highlight and honour Alberta’s diversity with many fun festivities throughout the historic Legislature Grounds.

Please note that there are some road closures near the site on Canada Day and parking may be limited. Using the LRT to Grandin station is a good option.

Please note the ETS bus Grandin Centre is not accessible on Canada Day.
