Enjoy the magnificent fireworks display over Edmonton’s river valley parks and the North Saskatchewan River.

The fireworks will be livestreamed by CBC Edmonton for anyone who would like to watch from home.

18-minute fireworks display will start at 11 p.m.

Venue:
Launched from Kinsmen Park launch site – Edmonton Huskies Sports Field West Kinsmen, below the High Level Bridge
No viewing is available from Kinsmen Park.

Pedestrian access will be unavailable in Kinsmen Park (including trail access), and the High Level and Menzies Bridges after road closures are in effect. Kinsmen playground and picnic areas are closed starting at 6 a.m. on Canada Day.

Queen Elizabeth Park
River Valley Road trail
Ezio Faraone Park (west entrance to High Level Bridge on 109 Street north)

Partially obstructed viewing:

Alberta Legislature Grounds
Walterdale Hill Road sidewalks and east Promenade
Victoria Park
109 Street (between Saskatchewan Drive and the High Level Bridge)

Road Closures on July 1
Expect traffic delays two hours before the fireworks and two hours after the show. Please be patient and courteous to help to make the trip home from the fireworks safe for everyone.

Parking Restrictions

Increased parking restrictions will be in effect on Canada Day. The installation of no parking signs and no stopping signs will begin early on July 1 to ensure that these lanes are clear of vehicles during peak traffic times.

There will be no stopping or parking from 7pm until midnight at these locations:

109 Street, between 99 Avenue and 104 Avenue
109 Street, between 82 Avenue and Saskatchewan Drive
107 Street, between 99 Avenue and 102 Avenue
105 Street, between 102 Avenue and 104 Avenue
River Valley Road, from 105 Street to Groat Road
After 8pm, parking will not be available at Kinsmen Sports Center, Queen Elizabeth Pool or Victoria Park Site #6 Picnic Shelter.
