Events Description
Edmonton Bike Swap returns to help Edmontonians gear up for the cycling season. The city’s premier community cycling event is at the Alberta Aviation Museum.
As a self-funded non-profit, Edmonton Bike Swap provides a safe, tech-checked marketplace that eliminates the risks of buying and selling used bicycles online. Every bike is vetted through a proprietary system to ensure no stolen property enters the event, while every bicycle sold undergoes a mechanical inspection to ensure it is safe to ride.
Our events are run with volunteers and we’re still looking for a few to help us help others; please consider one day of touching a lot of bikes. https://albertabikeswap.ca/volunteer/
We can’t put our events on without wonderful people like you and we thank you for reading this, helping us helping others, sharing our event and poster, and following Alberta Bike Swap on social media on LinkedIn, BlueSky, FB, or IG.

WHEN & WHERE
Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026
Donations: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Consignment (Drop-off to sell): 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM — If you have a bike to sell take it to the swap between 0800-1400 and we’ll check that bike to ensure that it’s safe to ride and run the serial number through our software to verify that the bike has not been flagged as stolen because it’s illegal to own a stolen bike and no one wants to buy a stolen bike.
Peace of Mind Window: 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM (For those with stolen bike police reports)
Have a stolen bike police report? All the bikes will be entered into the swap by 1400, please come to our event at 1400 so that you can see for yourself that your bike isn’t in our event. The police and RCMP have seized bikes from online sales and pawnshops based on what we do, and insurance companies use our paperwork as proof of ownership.
The Sale (Buying): 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Want to buy a bike? Stand in line, suggest no later than 10:30. IF you can pay the $2.00 admission that $2.00 will go to repair the hundreds of donated bikes. Those donated bikes will go to Sport Central and Bike Edmonton.
We have children’s bikes because it helps families.
We work with over 30 groups to rebuild donated bikes and have over 90 partners that help us help others. We work with every group in Alberta, except one: https://albertabikeswap.ca/strategic-alliances/.
