Experience a safe and reimagined Downtown Holiday Light Up this festive season. First, get ready to continue the 20-plus year tradition of a giant holiday tree on Churchill Square. Visit Churchill Square and snap an Instagram-worthy photo of your family in front of the tree.
New this year, Downtown Holiday Light Up has been expanded to include six outdoor light installations designed by local artists. Six installations will be rolled out at different Downtown locations and lit every evening until January 8, 2021.
Edmontonians are encouraged to safely visit these Downtown Holiday Light Up installations at their own leisure with their cohorts from November 27 until January 8. Visitors are reminded to follow public health guidelines and stay two metres apart from others and wear a face covering or mask if physical distancing is not possible.
Downtown Holiday Light Up is presented by the Downtown Business Association, and sponsored by Millar Western, EPCOR, and The Works Art & Design Festival
Who is it for?
Share the spirit and tag your photos of the tree #HolidayLightUp. For every #HolidayLightUp tag used until January 8, the DBA will give $5 to the Edmonton Food Bank, up to maximum $5,000 donation.
