Events Description
Head to the Wagner Natural Area for an interpretive Father’s Day Orchid walk by the Wagner Natural Area Society. The event will take place from 10am-2pm!
Bring your father figure, water, appropriate footwear and a good spirit!
Wagner Natural Area preserves calcium-rich, spring-fed marl ponds surrounded by forests of spruce, aspen, birch, tamarack and willow. Sixteen of the 24 orchid species known to occur in Alberta have been found here, including lady’s-slipper and the rare bog adder’s-mouth.
