Events Description

Transforming conventional places into unique arts spaces!

Find art in unexpected places
Featuring theatre, visual art, performance art, film, poetry, beer garden, free music series & more in and around Old Strathcona! Taking art out of galleries, concert halls, and theatres, and into the streets of Old Strathcona, the 8th annual Found Festival boasts surprising new works by artists from across Alberta.

Found Festival is a unique and innovative showcase of dance, theatre, visual art, music, creative writing and many other disciplines that transforms unconventional places into unique arts spaces. In the past we have produced theatre in a grocery store, dance among park trees, a radio play on the High Level Bridge, an art installation in a storefront window, and more! Bursting with creativity and energy, Found Festival transports the arts out of theatres, galleries, and stages and directly into the heart of the city, which allows audiences to experience visual and performing arts in ways they have never before — right in their own neighbourhood!

Throughout the festival weekend, the Found Festival Main Grounds presents numerous outdoor events that are free to the public. This includes the Found Festival Music Series that features exciting local bands, activities for youth, buskers, food vendors, a licensed liquor gardens, interactive arts and craft stations, an outdoor film screening, and much more!

Find the Found Grounds – your one stop shop for festival information, tickets, beer, and a FREE music series programmed by Edmonton’s own Sweaty Palms and Double Lunch Productions – neatly tucked behind Edmonton Fringe Theatre’s Backstage Theatre (10330 84 Avenue), across from the High Level Street Car stop.
