Please join Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS) for a free educational luncheon on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 and learn more about the basics of wills and estate planning.
Our presenters, Shelly Chamaschuk (Partner, Reynolds Mirth Richards & Farmer LLP) and John Kok (Senior Financial Advisor/President, Navigator Financial Services Inc.) will provide practical information including the following topics:
– The basics of making a will
– The duties and responsibilities of a personal representative, also referred to as an executor
– What skills and qualities to look for when choosing a personal representative
– What probate is and when it may be required
– Key tax considerations in estate planning
– How charitable giving can provide tax benefits
