Events Description
This year’s festival brings bigger energy, more businesses, delicious food and an unforgettable waterfront experience in the heart of Edmonton.
From bold flavours and live performances to family-friendly experiences and cultural celebrations, this is where Edmonton comes alive.
- JJF Olympics: The JJF Olympics is a high-energy, family-friendly competition packed with relay races, team challenges and Afro-Caribbean-inspired games. With a live emcee and guest appearances, it’s all about teamwork and energy in motion.
- Food Wars: Food Wars is a friendly culinary competition featuring the boldest dishes from our vendors. A panel of local foodies, influencers and critics taste and judge the entries while the audience cheers them on.
- Fly Your Flag: Celebrate your heritage in the most vibrant way. Fly Your Flag invites attendees to rep their country of origin through social shoutouts and flag-filled picnic zones. It’s our way of spotlighting the African and Caribbean diaspora and the cultural pride that powers our community.
- The JJF Fashion Show isn’t just a runway, it’s a movement. We’re showcasing bold designers, fearless models, and creative visionaries from across the Afro-Caribbean diaspora. This is your platform to turn fabric into storytelling and fashion into legacy.
- KidsZone: Designed for children 6 months and up, the JJF KidsZone includes bouncy castles, face painting, crafts, and interactive play.
