Maggie’s Wake brings a fresh, high‑energy take on contemporary folk to New Moon Folk Club, fusing high‑twang country, driving jigs and reels, Cajun‑style twin fiddles, and even a touch of reggae into one constantly evolving, rootsy sound. Led by award‑winning songwriter and multi‑instrumentalist Tara Dunphy (tin whistle, flute, fiddle, guitar, banjo, vocals) and acclaimed fiddler/vocalist Lindsay Schindler, they’re backed by a powerhouse rhythm section of Andrew Kosty (bass) and Kenneth Palmer (guitar). Together they deliver fiery tunes, soaring harmonies, and story‑rich songs that honour Celtic and North American traditions while boldly forging their own path in modern roots music.
