Events Description

Get into the Halloween spirit with upcoming local festivities! This year, the Mini Monster Bash has been modified to include an extra spooky scavenger hunt, take-home activity kits, and a haunted house.

Returning this year is the Halloween Haunted House Hunt. Stony Plain and Spruce Grove residents can follow daily clues to find one of ten miniature haunted houses hidden throughout the communities.

The scavenger hunt will kick off on October 19 and continue up until the Halloween weekend. Daily clues for each municipality will be posted at 9AM on the Mini Monster Bash website. Once found, houses can be brought to either Stony Plain Town Office or the Spruce Grove Public Library.

For those looking to get into the spooky spirit at home, activity kits will be available for pick up at the Stony Plain Public Library and the Spruce Grove Public library during regular hours. Kits are free and will be available from October 25 to October 31 while supplies last.

Heritage Park will get a spooktacular makeover, courtesy of Parkland Search and Rescue, on October 30 and October 31 from 10AM to 2PM each day.

Guests will need to book a time slot for their visit to the haunted house and registration opens on October 19 and closes October 29.

At this time, Heritage Park is participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP). Guests over the age of 12 will be required to provide proof of vaccination, medical exemption, or a negative rapid test taken within 72 hours of visiting. Physical distancing will be in place and masks mandatory.

“The Mini Monster Bash has been a classic family event for residents, and the community had a blast searching for the houses last year. We’re really excited to bring the Halloween Haunted House Hunt back again and provide family-friendly activities for our residents,” says Tevra Graham. “It’s been a long year, and I think all of us are in need of some good old fashion Halloween fun!”

Ghosts and ghouls are reminded to stay safe and practice physical distancing while taking in this month’s thrills and chills. Event information and registration details can be found on the Mini Monster Bash website. Keep an eye out for daily scavenger hunt clues beginning October 19!
