Join us on Saturday September 19 for the 18th Annual Mosquers Gala, an evening celebrating excellence in film, arts and storytelling.
Walk the red carpet, watch the top short films on the big screen, and celebrate the filmmakers with awards presented by our distinguished jury. The gala will also feature live performances throughout the evening including
Outside of the short films performances include:
- Tamtam, a Saudi singer-songwriter and cultural pioneer based in Riyadh. She performed on the official Coca-Cola anthem for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and has performed across the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S., using music as a force for connection, unity, and change.
- Faris Hytia, a comedian who has worked with the likes of Hasan Minhaj, Mo Amer, Neal Brennan and has become a fixture on CBC’s The Debaters. With albums on SiriusXM and CBC Radio, Faris also debuted on CraveTV in season 5 of Roast Battles Canada in 2026. His second album, homesick., was the first comedy album by an Alberta-based comedian to be nominated for a Juno award.
