Events Description
The Honourable Salma Lakhani will be hosting the New Year’s Day Levee at historic Government House. An annual tradition celebrated by Vice-Regal offices across Canada, this event is an opportunity to exchange new year’s greetings with friends and neighbours.
Guests will be able to meet and have a photo taken with the Lieutenant Governor, take in the beautiful art and displays throughout Government House, and enjoy live music and festive treats. There will also be an opportunity to sign the guest book and to write postcards of support for members of the Canadian Armed Forces currently serving overseas.
The event is free and open to the public, and is suitable for all ages. Advanced registration is not required. Free, limited on-site parking is available. Government House is accessible for those with limited mobility, including wheelchair access from the west side of the building.
