Events Description
Play the North Edmonton is a free to attend, family-friendly board game festival dedicated to playing and celebrating Canadian games! Whether you’re an avid player, new to board games, or somewhere in between, there is something for people of all ages and abilities.
Join us at Pe Metawe Games for THREE FULL DAYS of fun, featuring games by prominent Canadian publishers: Burnt Island Games, Kids Table Board Games (KTBG), Roxley Games, and Inside Up Games. Meet the publishers and play titles like Brass Birmingham, Santorini, Corps of Discovery, MIND MGMT, Cafe Baras, Endeavor Deep Sea, Earth, Draft and Write Records, and more!
Do you prefer to familiarize yourself with the rules before jumping in? Play the North Edmonton has facilitated learn-to-play tables, where an experienced volunteer will teach you and demo the game!
To reserve seats at facilitated learn-to-play tables or learn more about Play the North, please visit playthenorth.ca.
This event is held in partnership with Play the North, a new nationwide board game initiative, and the Alberta Avenue Business Association’s Night Market program. To support the fundraising mission of Game-A-Lot, a fellow board game festival in Edmonton, Play the North Edmonton will also be accepting donations for the Veterans Association Food Bank.
